I have a webcam and I am gonna use it!

As some of you folks who have been following my rubbish since the beginning will know, I have had some ups and downs regarding my show. I launch with a channel, we get into a groove, promises are made and then everything goes tits up.

I have had enough of that, and I have decided to take things into my own hands and as of tomorrow, Annoyed Gamer will be broadcasting live over the interwebs once again.

The show is going to be ultra low tech, just me, a mic and a webcam. No trailers, no flashy logos or anything. When I go for a pee break, there won't be any music and cut to commercials, I will just say "I am going for a pee".

I want this show to feel like you are chatting with one of your mates about games. I am going to be spouting my opinions, but there with a chat window for you to submit questions and if I catch them, I will try and answer!

So, if you want to drop by, please do. 12 Noon PST tomorrow (Sat, Sept 19th). I am going to be talking about Muramasa, Tekken 6, WET and lots of other stuff.

Its going to be like a live video podcast I think.

Oh yeah, here is the link:

Fallout 3 Theme coming to XBLA

Got this in my inbox this morning:

"Today Bethesda and Microsoft revealed that a premium theme for “Fallout 3” will be released on Xbox LIVE on Oct.1 free of charge for all players who have purchased all five “Fallout 3” Game Add-ons as of Sept. 22. Gamers who have purchased all five Game Add-ons (English only), including “Operation: Anchorage,” “The Pitt,” “Broken Steel,” “Point Lookout” and “Mothership Zeta”, will receive a token from Microsoft to download the theme for free starting Oct. 1. “This is something we’ve been asked about a lot and we’re happy to finally be able to bring it to fans as a small token of our appreciation,” said Todd Howard, game director and executive producer for Fallout 3.The theme is also available for purchase at 240 Microsoft points."

Guess this will keep us amused until Fallout New Vegas hits next year eh?

Nigeria demands apology from Sony

If you live in the US, you have probably seen the new PS3 'rumor control' commercials that announce the price cut for the system.

The commercial (which is at the bottom of the post if you haven't already seen it) features an internet rumor monger talking about the price cut talking with the Sony 'Director of Rumor Confirmation'. This director refuses to acknowledge the price cut, despite being surrounded with signs and logos saying $299.

During their chat, he goes on to say "You can't believe everything you read on the internet. Otherwise, I'd be a Nigerian millionaire by now."

Now this apparently upset the Nigerian government, who are quite miffed that Sony have made a joke of something anyone with an email addy has all too often experienced over the last 10 years.

Here is what they had to say, courtesy of Vanguardnr.com

The Minister of Information and Communication, Prof Dora Akunyili said contrary to the insinuations being made, “Nigeria remains a major investment destination and a country where most businesses thrive in trust, good faith, competence and integrity.

According to the statement, “Nigeria also demands an unconditional apology from Sony Corporation for this deliberate negative campaign against the country’s image and reputation.

“The apology must be given the same measure of publicity by Sony Corporation in all channels where the unfortunate adverts were aired.

“In the light of the above, the Federal Government of Nigeria requests Sony Corporation to immediately withdraw that advertisement from circulation.”

Well I have to say that the Nigerian government really needs to get a sense of humor here. Maybe if they had been cracking down on these email fraudsters and tightening their apparently lax laws, then they might have some justification for being pissed, but as long as people keep getting these scam emails from their country, I hope Sony does not buckle.

Here is a link to the offending commercial (the embed wouldn't work!) so feel free to judge for yourself and post a comment:
